blessed by my mom & costume makings

Growing up my mom made some of our clothes for us. I have fond memories of being a little girl playing on the floor close to her sewing table while she diligently worked to create our clothes. Even into the night she labored away. While I lay awake in bed the steady hum of the sewing machine from the other room comforted me and the light from the room she worked in cast it's glow into the dark house while everyone else slept. What a mom! What a woman and an example of one I will never live up to.

My mom truly is the best. I don't know what I would do without her! The other night she helped me make my costume for Halloween. Together we worked and laughed as she taught me how to sew on her machine, the very one she used for so many years to create beauty and love in our lives.

I'm so thankful for my mom!

Any guesses for what my costume is going to be tomorrow? I know it's hard to tell from the photos, so I guess you'll just have to find out tomorrow!
